Empathy - Path to Loyalty and Success


Want to highlight why showing empathy is important towards our employees when they are in difficult situations .

Sometimes an employee is facing challenging times due to sickness or financial distress or any other issue and feels the need to talk to someone . There are deliverables or deadlines to be met by such an employee and for us they are most important . 

Yes , it may not be possible for an employer to solve an employee’s personal issues but sometimes being empathetic towards another fellow being is what is required even in an Organization .

Listening to one’s problem by a Supervisor and giving moral support creates a huge positive impact to a subordinate who starts feeling that that his/her supervisor is not just a boss but a good human being too. 

It takes few minutes to provide reference to a Doctor or provide some valuable guidance by virtue of experience as the case may be ,to a subordinate . This needs patience but believe me , this gesture will go a long way in building trust and loyalty amongst the subordinate. 

Let’s remember that only happy employees can create success stories in a  Company


We as Leaders need to set an example of being empathetic towards others in Organization as Life is not all about deadlines ...
